Oracle Application Server SQL*ReportWriter vulnerability

Overview

I. Description

Oracle SQL*ReportWriter is a component of the Oracle Application Server. There is an vulnerability in the Oracle SQL*ReportWriter, but the details of this vulnerability are not clear. However, Oracle states that this issue can allow an attacker to easily compromise system confidentiality and integrity.

This issue is identified as AS10 in the Oracle Critical Patch Update for October 2005.

II. Impact

A remote, unauthenticated attacker may be able to access and modify sensitive information.
